Honorable Mention for the painting "Basket of Light"

My latest watercolour painting is now available as a Limited Edition Giclee Reproduction,"Basket of Light", a painting inspired by my friend, Kelly Wilson, who gave to me my treasured hand-woven old world willow basket .  Kelly grows, harvests and weaves willow into an amazing variety of unique products at her home based willow farm/studio located in Merville, B.C.

This has been a great art summer!! I am excited to announce that I have recently been accepted into the Federation of Canadian Artists as an active member! Also - several of my limited edition giclee reproductions (prints) are now available through Impressions Custom Framing, 990B Shoppers Row, Campbell River - Sue and her staff have been a delight to work with!...– prints can now be purchased through this web site, by contacting me directly or at Impressions Custom Framing.

My painting “Kindred Spirits” was first runner up for the People’s Choice Award in the 2007 Campbell River & District Art Gallery’s Members Show – huge thank yous to everyone who voted for this painting that I have such a personal connection with.

In October 2007, I will be joining a number of local artists who will be exhibiting and sharing new fresh works in the 20th anniversary celebration of the Tidemark Theater.

I have added one more Limited Edition Giclee Reproduction to my collection which is now available for viewing on the home page of this web site and in my Gallery #1 this painting is called “Golden Memory”.. inspired by my dear friend’s beloved “Dusty Girl”... …

Last but not least…, through a program organized by the Campbell River & District Art Gallery, Angela Hanuse (great friend and art buddy- see her works under my Links page) and I will be going into the elementary schools locally starting this fall as a team to share our knowledge and inspiration with the students in one hour art sessions.. can’t wait!.. back to the studio now .. as I have a number of “almost finished” pieces to resolve!!..
