These limited edition giclee reproductions (commonly referred
to as giclee prints) are printed on Epson Textured Fine
Art Paper using
archival quality inks.
All
giclees are signed by the artist and numbered to an
edition of 200 for each image. A
certificate of
authenticity is provided with each Limited Edition Giclee Reproduction.
They
can be printed with or without a 1" border.
Matting and framing are not included in the price;
however, you are welcome to contact the artist for more
information on this subject.

There
are many different techniques involved in watercolour
painting. Dawn’s favorite is the "wet-in-wet” method
whereby paint is applied to wet paper allowing the
colours to flow and mingle together, creating movement
and at times, delightful ‘surprises’. The mixing of
different types of watercolour paint (transparents,
sedimentary, strong staining pigments etc.) result in
amazing separations, special effects and textures. As
colour is applied, layer by layer, the subject of the
painting emerges and is sculpted into its finished form.
These paintings can take months to develop. Dawn uses
paints manufactured from the finest pigments available
by Winsor and Newton, a British company that still mixes
some colours by hand to avoid damaging the delicate
pigments.
Winsor and Newton watercolours are considered the
favorite of professional watercolourists the world over.
